Whether you're talking about economic or physical survival more Americans seem to have lost the sense to survive. When a company like Blackrock can drive the cost of single family homes to a level that few if any families can afford, you would think there would be public protests or any protests of significance. When people have to finance their groceries, wouldn't a reasonable response be to call on the only entity that could stand against such blatant injustice (the Government) to stand up against such blatant injustice?
Why the hell I'm I even having to point out that the Government of the United States of America should be putting a stop to what are obvious immoral, unjust and what should be and in some instances once were illegal acts. I swear I can remember a time when interest rates considered to fall under the classification of usury were 16%. And, as far as the violence that some may claim as necessary for a lender to be considered a loan shark, isn't starvation a form of violence? If so, how is Walmart allowed to loan $2,000 dollars for two years at 22% interest? Maybe those Walmart loans should be paid back with the same returns one gets after eating the food. That sounds as fair as impoverishing people for the things they need to survive.
Maybe, as a modern Society, we should allow for a single billionaire to exist until every man, woman and child has everything they need to survive. Maybe those if us who can, should make better choices for those who can't. Perhaps a more enlightened, compassionate and intelligent Public would hold their leaders accountable for the ways in which they are failing more of their citizens everyday. If not out if caring for others, out of a sense of self-preservation, because things have been and are continuing to get worse for most of us.
Perhaps, it's time to stop believing that having the most experienced people in Washington DC will solve anything. Nancy Pelosi has been there since the 80's as has Mitch McConnell. In all of that time neither of them seems to have figured out how to do anything but keep their jobs and beat the stock market while overseeing the laws that impact the stock market. Joe Biden was in Government for forty years and had a track record of plagiarism, corruption and racism before he was elected to the highest office in the planet. And, this was while he exhibited obvious signs of mental decline. I don't care what anyone says, that dude was unfit for the office of the Presidency before his mental acuity became questionable. As a matter of fact, we have examples of far too many of our leaders in Washington DC exhibiting signs of mental decline. From Diane Feinstein being directed to "just say yah" to Mitch McConnell seemingly stroke out at press conferences to Biden being interrupted and redirected by the Easter Bunny there is way too much evidence that America is ruled by incompetence and incompetents. How the hell does someone in a bunny costume get to interrupt THE PRESIDENT OF THE FREAKIN' UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?
So, when leaders of America seem to be failing so many Americans, this is an example of Americans lacking a sense of survival on a macro scale. As, for what I personally see on a micro or anecdotal scale, this is what I see in my life. People walking and jogging in the street when there is a sidewalk (without a curb) less than five feet from where they are walking or jogging. Oftentimes, they are doing this in the dark wearing dark clothing. And, oftentimes they are walking while texting which may not be a problem until texting walker meets texting driver. This texting while walking often occurs in parking lots where those same bumper people walk down the middle of the lanes between parked cars. Sometimes people walk through parking lots with their children on the outside, exposing the little ones to the traffic they (the adults) are ignoring.
Oh well. I guess if people don't care about their survival, why should I. On an individual level, it simply means they'll be shrugging off this mortal coil sooner and in a larger scale, we'll get to and through WWII and nuclear destruction that much sooner.
In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.
In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
