Eye opener for April 18, 2024: The one country that American could never be better than

I always hate when people ask which country is better than America. The problem isn't necessarily a matter of being wrong, it's more a matter of hubris. Whenever anyone asks me that question, my first response is always America. I then have to explain that I am comparing today's America to the America I believe to be the best America or more accurately the best America's.

Any version of America in the mid to late 1980s is a better example than any version of America from the year 2000 and up. While those 80s versions were not perfect, they were the pinnacle of the ideal America. Set aside the goofy style, clothes and music, that America held the promise of better days for more people. Those 80s Americas were the envy of the world as so many people from around the world wanted to live the American dream while wearing blue jeans, eating McDonald's and drinking Coke. Nowadays, people from around the world are coming to America out of fear rather than desire. Many have left their homeland because of the Hellscape that America created there. This is why Americans should fear the illegal migration that the Biden administration is threatening a civil war with half the states over. Read about all of the governments around the world that America helped coup in the book referenced below.

In almost every metric, the America(s) of the 80s were better than any and every America after Y2K. I guess the fear of Y2K was justified. Perhaps delayed, perhaps not in the manner everyone feared Y2K, but apparently justified: With more knowledge (actually, all of Humanity's knowledge) in the palm of our hands (cellphone), Americans are dumber and more ignorant than ever before. Far too few Americans could survive without a grocery store or a McDonald's. America hardly manufactures anything while it's leaders threaten the countries that do manufacture almost everything America consumed. America's debt and deficit today is measured in the trillions, the debt increasing by one trillion every three months now. In the eighties, the deficit was measured in the billions. Sometimes the deficit was even negative, meaning it was an actual surplus. While Bill Clinton boasted about a potential $150 surplus coming by 2003, no one in Washington DC could even claim a pending leveling off or reversal of America's debt and deficit today. Today America's annual expenses are two trillion dollars more than its income. Imagine having two trillion dollars on your credit card.

Now, all of the stuff listed above isn't simply to say America sucks today. It is my intention to not only point out that America could do better, but also to implore people to recognize that America is no longer the example that the world should try to emulate. It should serve as a precautionary tale for the superpower that will be replacing it.

As for one specific (albeit, not the only reason) why America was better in the eighties, I would cute that Nancy Pelosi

first went to Washington DC in 1987... America was better before 1987.

In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.

In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
