Not that this will ever happen, but how should mass murderers who kill millions be punished? Should there be even more punishment when those mass murderers hide their sins behind religion?
In America, we have several leaders who pushed for illegal, immoral unjustified wars all across the world. If they weren't directly pushing for war, they were and are funding others to kill, overthrow or incarcerate their leaders... even democratically elected leaders.
The outcome of much of this American adventurism has been the deaths of millions of people around the world. Isn't that one of the reasons we stopped Hitler? Other than the compressed timeframe in which Hitler committed his acts of violence and murder, how do the millions of death caused by America differ?
So, how do you punish people who commit to murdering people on a scale that may not equal Hitler's body count, but is moving in a direction that could someday surpass it? Who knows maybe collectively American leaders have surpassed Hitler, especially if you include the American citizens who have been allowed to starve to death or die from exposure. Maybe I should reword that last sentence. It sounds like America has ghettos like Nazi Germany. This can't be true because why would millions of people be trying to enter the United States illegally if there were so many ghettos here? Oh, yeah. America helped turn their country into even worse ghettos. Though terribly simplifies, that would explain why people would make the treacherous journey to a land where they don't speak the language and don't have a pot to piss in.
I guess it's safer to be in the country that bombs other countries everyday than to live in the countries getting bombed everyday. So, how do you punish those leaders who make the tough call to kill hundreds of thousands to millions while cloaking themselves in religion? I guess you don't unless you're French. Maybe we should start by following the money and go from there.

The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
