It's hard for me to look at Americans and perceive a majority of them as adults. I say this because, even if they have status, wealth, and power, they are not living lives of purpose. For clarifications,by purpose I mean lives that will prove beneficial to future generations. In this regard, I would point out the fact that far too many Americans will lose the inheritance and promise of a brighter future because the current generation allowed corruption to steal it.
We've promoted and prized wealth so much as to allow for leadership in this country that resembles a bad version of the Hollywood movie Mob. I say a bad version because the Mob was always portrayed as an organization that took care of its own. As brutal as the Mob may have been depicted in movies, it always took care of its people. This however cannot be said about America's leadership for decades, as more people have become impoverished and destitute to the point that the next generation, if not subsequent generations will be indebted to a small cabal of malevolent faceless elites who care little, of all about Humanity.
Under the broad circumstances detailed above, I allege that those one should admire and consider the adults in Society, including white collar professionals like engineers, lawyer and anyone in STEM as well as the blue collar professionals like plumbers, electricians and anyone in the trades or service industries have ignored the actions of leaders who have overseen America's decline. I won't go into all of the ways we have failed future generations through our ignorance and narcissism here because I detailed these things in my book years ago. I will however point out that it all could have been avoided or at least mitigates to the point that we could have saved our children's future by acting like the adults we profess or imply to be. There were solutions and there still might be ways in which we can salvage the hopes and dreams of the next generation but not by doing what we've been doing for decades now. Perhaps it's time to read my book instead of believing news sources that led us into one war after another, alienated our allies and increased our roster of enemies around the Globe. In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
