When debt in America is nearing thirty five trillion (that's $35,000,000,000,000), how are people still so ignorant to the fact that their wealthy is being stolen? And, when the debt is increasing by one trillion every hundred days (that's $1,000,000,000,000 every three months and 9-10 days), how are they not curious as to what is going on?
It would seem logical to me that no matter what your level on education, as long as you're at least 25, you'd wonder who the hell is owed thirty five trillion dollars and who owes that much money in America. Let's average it out. Let's include every America no matter their age. As of the writing of this post there are 336, 446,300 Americans. So, dividing the debt owed in America by the population of America, we find that on average, every American owes $105,280.16 (that's one hundred and five thousand, two hundred and eight thousand dollars and sixteen cents. So, averaged out, every man, woman and child owes more than one hundred thousand dollars to someone... WTF doesn't even cover this, especially when America's debt just a few decades ago (in the year 2000) was only 5.5 billion and in the year 1990 was only 3.3 trillion. In 1980, America's debt was 965 billion (just shy of one trillion dollars which 226,545,805 people which meant that on average every American owed approximately $4,260.54 (that's only four thousand, two hundred sixty dollars and fifty four cents). The average debt in American increased by 2,400 percent. WTF!
In an imbalanced system as the American economy, this means that a small percentage of the population (a very small percentage) won BIG (HUGE) while the rest of us got screwed. This is what happens when the rich are allowed to leverage their wealth against any and all who might enter this game of poker where the player with the most can simply outbid everyone else. Now, of course this is all done legally. Twenty five percent interest rates for credit cards, which was considered usary at one time is now legal. Buying and jacking up the price of homes in the process is considered moral. Owning 88 percent of all stocks but only comprising 12 percent of the population is deemed sustainable. Profiting from incarceration without displaying any real rehabilitation results is deemed a promising outcome. Endless wars, without questioning the rationale, logic or impact of such behavior in the norm. Why have so many Americans allowed their country to become so twisted, unsustainable, immortal, unjust and corrupt? Why have so many Americans ignored all of the obvious signs and the people who pointed out those obvious signs? Why is America giving money to Ukraine, Israel when there are so many dying in this country?
How can the rich continue to get richer and spread the destruction that they've caused through their actions? How can Americans continue to believe America is the greatest country as their own lifestyle and those of the children decline on a daily basis. My only guess is that, though the American standard of living has declined so greatly, it's still higher than all of the other countries that America has brought ruin upon through war, coups and sanctions. That and the fact that Americans are ignorant to how low America is when comparing so many metrics against those of various countries.
In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.
In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
