We've either ignored or allowed greedy interests to lie about the changes we have caused to our climate:  From small island nations that no longer exist and tourist attractions like Venice that climate scientist predict will be underwater by 2100 to countries like Australia and states like California that have seen an increase in fires, Humanity has turned a blind eye to the self-destructive attitudes of the wealthy.  Short term profits at the expense of long, longterm... well longevity have put mankind on the precipise of becoming the first species to commit Geno-suicide.
