Consider this. If you can condone your country committing immoral acts like giving cluster bombs to countries like Ukraine, you must be willing to accept the immoral acts your country might commit against you.
If your government is willing to cause harm to others, you should understand that you might one day be amongst those "others" your government sees as a threat. Look at what is happening to whistleblowers in America these days. If what they are exposing are falsehoods, why would they be under threat of going to prison for decades of not life. If what they are exposing are war crimes, why aren't the perpetrators not being indicted, prosecuted and imprisoned if found guilty? It makes no sense to have a whistleblower face incarceration unless they are exposing war crimes while those exposed as having committed the war crimes remain free.
