It is my belief that, in the near future, Americans will be only selling to other Americans. And that selling will most likely be limited to those who are in you economic class. By this I mean, the rich won't be buying anything but our labor and time because they will have already "bought" or confiscated everything we owned of value. The middle class won't be buying from the poor because the rich will have confiscated everything of value that the poor owned and the poor won't have anything of value of which to bargain or barter.
This future of cyclical buying and selling to your own cohort can be seen in what I believe to be a leading indicator... Social media.
Platforms like YouTube provide a certain insight into what America is becoming. While still a great resource for information and tutorials, YouTube has become a place where one "influencer" reacts to another "influencer's" content of reacting to yet another "influencer". And, what's worse is that sometimes the third or fourth generation reactions are complaints about how the previous iterations provided a hyperbolic title for their video to Garner more clicks. In the final analysis, YouTube, a megarich corporation owned by an even richer corporation is earning money off of the work of people who are earning money off the work of people who are earning money off of the work of others. The levels of earning off of other's various but this pyramid-like ecosystem seems to increase daily. It's almost like a game of telephone that grown ass people around the entire United States, if not the world are looping into everyday. This of course isn't limited to YouTube as every reality TV show seems to have reaction series to their "reality"/staged programming. All of this feels like a virtual selling of garbage to one another and we eat it up as the world descends into chaos.
In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.
In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
