Can Humanity really live up to it's potential when only 1% of it brainpower is being utilized.
I make this claim, at least for the United States of America because less than one (1) percent of this population owns 90 percent of everything. Now, whether that percentage skews one way or another, it still indicates that too few people in this country are truly free. While that one percent sits on seemingly endless amounts of money and resources, the rest of us must work for them to live. In this way, too many of us must work jobs that we have neither the passion for nor desire.
Given this idea of spending one's life doing something they hate, how could an individual's full potential ever be reached? And, if the majority of people are falling short of their potential, how could Humanity do anything other than fall short of its potential? America's potential is limited by the necessity for Americans to limit themselves to jobs that do NOT push them to their limits as generations live and die without experience or offering any growth.
Now, some will say that those who work for others lack the ambition to strive for those things for which they are most passionate. Maybe this is true, but the truth can never be determined in a world where you must work for someone or die. And, now that I've written it out loud, this sounds similar to slavery. It may not be as brutal as the American slavery witnessed in the past, but lacking the ability to be self-sufficient sounds like someone who relies on others for their well-being which would be fine if those others actually cared more about our well-being than their profits. To date, I have seen little evidence that they put people over profits and an abundance of evidence to the contrary.
In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.
In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
