Eye opener for June 10, 2024: Climate change, change

There is an Eye Widener that will be posted 15 minutes from now.

As the world prepares for war, the necessities required and the scarcity caused by war, countries will be forced to take action. Not just in reaction to the violence that will ensue, but as a means to mitigate the residue impacts of worldwide aggression.

Whether directly impacted or merely collateral damage, countries will have to enact measures that contradict current policy. In the case of New Zealand could reversing a ban on oil and gas exploration be just such a measure? If, in preparation for World War III or not, repealing laws meant to save the planet from imminent ecological catastrophy seem drastic. If climate change is the existential threat to Humanity that Thunberg, Gore and so many other Climate change, jet setting, mansion-owning (maybe not Greta) claim it to be, war would seem secondary in the order of threats we should consider. The only reason I could see justifying such a repeal to such a threat would be that the threat is not as threatening as we've been led to believe.

I predict that climate change will take a backseat to the spectre of war. Not actually a prediction in the mystical sense, but one made by looking backwards. As the saying goes....

"The nest predictor of the future is the past."

Looking to the past, I see that war supercedes all else, including the survival of our people. When we have resources as abundant as the eight billion human lives available, why not use them... Right? Why not send other people's children off to war to fight for resources that we might find easier to share. That is after all why you had children isn't it? That's why I didn't have children, though I always to have children. I just could get past my selfish desire to not provide cannon folder for the American military death cult. That and the economic catastrophy I and few others have seen coming for decades.

As for the nabs that will be lifted on fossil fuels in the coming years, I think these will expose the Climate Change hoax that has profile rated even before Gore's "Inconvenient Truth". I believe that given the hypocrisy of buying waterfront property in light rising sea levels will tell us more than a single word uttered by Obama. I believe that a few more people will recognize the folly that limiting higher education to the highest bidder represents. Imagine how much more Humanity could have advanced had more people had access to the resources and opportunities available. Resources like higher education that didn't leave one in debt for the next thirty years. Opportunities like research grants for technology a little more important than Fauci's studies that used beagles in the most perverse ways or Alexandria Ocasio Cortez's passion to deregulate sunscreens.

Imagine how advanced the United States could be if it offered affordable higher education and research to its entire population of 335 million citizens as opposed to the 1% who can truly afford it today. Maybe we could improve life in America and the world. Maybe we could even ween ourselves off fossil fuels and send Greta home.

In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.

In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
