If we are following, shouldn't we know where our leaders are taking us? Where does the conflict between Israel and Palestinian ends? Even if Israel kills or evacuates Gaza, how will the people of Israel benefit?
In the near term the answer is obvious... Or, is it? Of course Israel will gain control over the formerly open air prison that Gaza is currently. Israeli settlers will be able to move into the territory that the IDF will conquer and occupy. Is this however the main reason for Israel's imbalances response to the October attacks by Hamas? Could there be an ulterior motive?
As an American who's witnessed his country invade other countries in the name of Humanitarian relief, I'm skeptical of grandiose gestures such as war, because rarely are the real reasons for such acts ever disclosed... Unless the leader is so inexperienced as to say the quiet part out loud. https://tinyurl.com/26n6ngjr
Until American leaders stop using contradictory means like helping the people of a country achieve Democracy through force or peace through violent acts of war, O will never trust a thing coming from their murderous mouths. This holds true for my view when leadership in other countries lead their citizens into war. For example, Israel may be pushing into Gaza to exploit the oil recently discovered there. Think about your own country and consider whether your leaders actions benefit the majority or a small minority more. In western countries, all one need do is look at how the economies of countries like Germany and France are fairing as compared to pre- Russia/Ukraine war. The European Union is collapsing economically, yet they continue to press on... Why would they do that when just stopping would end the economic bleeding? Russia didn't bring down the strongest economy in the EU (Germany), German leaders did that. Here in America, the leaders of the B.R.I.C.S. nations didn't cause such poor employment numbers in America... American leadership caused the greatest harm by sanctioning Russia, China and so many other countries to the point that they HAD to seek out currencies other than the US Dollar to settle transactions. In America however, the ultra wealthy have not had to sacrifice their lifestyles while far too many middle class and poor American have had to pay with their lives. While, I don't know the numbers of German or French citizens who have had to suffer for the actions of their leaders but I would bet that they're similar to America's.
So, where are our leaders leading us? Given that there seems to be more war than peace around the planet, I would say we must all figure out where the roa we ride upon is taking us before we reach the end, or dead end, if you will.
spreading Democracy to their country
In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.
In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
