Short and simple post today upon which I would love feedback. What major issue/problem in America doesn't lead back to the growing inequality we see in America? I'll get the discussion started.
I posit that homelessness is ultimately caused by individuals and organizations/corporations bidding the prices of housing up so high as to make both buying and renting unaffordable. While potential homebuyers who DON'T have seemingly limitless amounts of cash to buy second and third houses may FOMO into real estate, their impact could never have made the cost of homes increase as they have to date. When the average price for a house exceeds the average national wage by 20, 30 percent or more, you have an unsustainable housing market. When corporations like Blackrock can outbid everyone else for a house that they simply hope to sell at an even more unaffordable price, how is this not an instance of inequality trickling down and increasing homelessness amongst those whose wages stopped keeping pace with the inflated prices of homes decades ago?
In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.
In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
