Eye opener for October 14, 2023
In my previous post, I alleged that the news sources so many people rely upon don't have the masses best interests at heart. Part of this belief is due to the fact that almost all of the media corporations today are owned by a very small group of people.
While America does have the first amendment which guarantees its citizens the freedom of speech, that freedom of speech gets buried by privately owned (even though they may be publicly traded) media giants that disguise the truth with their version(s) of the truth. In that post from yesterday, I pointed out the ways in which pharmaceutical companies push treatments for the symptoms of diseases like Diabetes instead of the disease itself. Doctors are incentivized by Big Pharma to push pills or shots to lower your glucose levels and A1C more than food manufacturers are incentivized to provide food that doesn't lead to obesity.
Another way in which the agenda of the wealthy is pushed on main stream media sources is in the advertising we see from defense contractors on news programs. Why would Boeing be advertise jet engines on MSNBC, CNN and more. I'm not in the market for a jet engine and can honestly say no one I know and no one they know is looking to buy a jet engine. This does however have the affect of compromising that news sources. What business would ever produce a scathing report against Boeing while Boeing is spending millions to advertise jet engines that need no advertisement... If you're in the market for a jet engine, an ad on MSNBC isn't necessary to solidify that choice in your mind.
In America, we no longer get balanced discussions or debates about the merits or demerits of war. When did America's leaders ever present the cons of funding Ukraine against a nuclear superpower like Russia? For most seeking a balanced approach to one of the most devastating acts mankind could commit, the only retorts were, "Are you a Putin apologist?".
It's so odd to me that Americans continue to fall for the deceitful information provided to them pertaining to wars and other acts of aggression perpetrated by the United States. The Public got behind the first war in Iraq after the Kuwaitee Ambassador's daughter lied about Iraqi soldiers taking babies out of incubators to let them die on cold floors. George W. Bush knowingly lied about WMDs to get America into the second war with Iraq. People viewed Bush as an idiot before 9/11 but for some reason, he was a genius afterwards and anyone who opposed his Iraq war was deemed unpatriotic. Now, we must fight Putin because he invaded Ukraine, and this argument is put forth as if the history between Russia and Ukraine only started in 2022. The fact that Ukraine has been bombing pro-Russian Ukrainians in Ukraine never enters the conversation on CNN. The fact that Russia only had three demands to avoid the conflict (one being that Ukraine not be allowed in NATO), was no longer discussed in MSNBC once the drums of war began to beat. The fact that Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in the world and had a big neo-Nazi problem was no longer reported on in the very same papers that made these same claims just a few years ago. The fact that Ukraine is requesting that countries into which Ukrainian makes have fled are being asked to extradite them back to Ukraine and that Ukraine has recently passed a bulk/resolution to conscript women between 18 & 60 for the war goes unreported.
Americans need to wake up because no one is coming to save us from the corruption, lies and manipulations that our leaders are using to rob us and subsequent generations of our futures.
In 2018, I also write a book that now only detailed the problems we would face with the power, wealth and control being vacuumed up by the elites, my book provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.
I provide a means for the reader to disseminate the information provided by their news sources, their elected officials and anyonr they choose to follow. In Solution, I offer the read the means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that will improve their lives and the lives of those they care for.
