The more money America sends to other countries (especially for war) while ignoring the plight of Americans, the more ridiculous everything else in America feels like child's play.
I work on multimillion-dollar projects where really rich people (contractors) fight middle class to upper-middle class people (client/client reps) for millions of dollars.
Years ago, I had no problem taking the weekly progress meetings seriously. The arguments were over providing improvements to utilities and infrastructure necessary to the proper functioning of civilization. My projects included and include things like the proper treatment of waste water, drainage systems, and runway systems at an international airport. I perceived sll of my projects as important and I viewed all of my colleagues as serious professionals, but no longer hold such beliefs.
When America's leadership pushes the Doomsday clock which was created by the Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. closer to midnight than it has ever been, safe runways don't seem as important. When homelessness continues to increase year after year , clean drinking water sounds like a pipe dream for too many Americans. When diasters, both manmade (chemical train crash in East Palestine Ohio) and natural (Maui fires) are ignored while one of the most corrupt countries receives American funding to conduct a proxy war, the lives of Americans seem to be of little importance to American leaders. And this perception is only reinforced when both major political parties in America appear to only support war and shun peace negotiations. When issues as important as those mentioned above go virtually unacknowledged, it's hard to view people ignoring them as adults. It's like watching someone complaining about the guy pinching their arm while ignoring the guy hitting the back of their head with a baseball bat.
In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.
In "Solutions...", provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they chose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those they care for.
