Eye widener for May 23, 2024: Can I just have one secret? Just one.

When people talk about artificial intelligence (AI) being so beneficial, my first thought is "To who?" I have this thought because OpenAI, which created ChatGPT was open source but ChatGPT is not. ChatGPT is open to the highest bidder and will benefit those with the deepest pockets. This is just one reason why I believe AI is one, if not the biggest threat to Humanity. I've expressed my concerns and offered reasons why AI is a sign of mankind's decline, rather than our ascendency, so I won't go into that here in depth. For now I will provide one example of how AI could threaten our existence.

If Fauci and all the idiots finding Gain of Function research can release a virus that kills millions worldwide by accident, imagine what an intelligence with a primary goal of learning everything could do if it were to focus on viruses that can kill humans. And, given that the types of AI being released into the wild like ChatGPT is being programmed by people who have converted from an open source model to a "rise above the rest", profit driven model, what kind of bias will we face when an AI is smarter than us. How will we defend ourselves against an AI that is smarter than us and evolving a hundred, or a thousand or a million times faster than us? How have other, less intelligent species fared against us? Do you see my point now? This however is not the focus of this post.

The focus here is about the ways in which AI will be used against us by other humans. As stated before, while anyone could look at the code behind OpenAI, this is not the case with CharGPT and this will certainly not be the case for Microsoft's AI which will screenshot your documents every few seconds. Our privacy is being eroded everyday and while some will argue the following

"If you have no secrets, why would you be afraid of everything you say being known and available to everyone?"

To this I say, what if the Nazi's had access to everything those who rebelled against them said or thought? What if the Nazis had access to the planning of the Allies?

Some secrets matter, yet the elites who run companies like Microsoft want to document everything you put down on the page (computer scree). This would seem to not only expose your thoughts and ideas to scrutiny from both benevolent and malevolent actors, but to hackers as well. Let's say you've written the World's best screenplay. How would you feel if someone else got the copyright for it before you because the hacked and stole it from the Microsoft screen shots?

As more people are impoverished and their money stolen, the majority will at some point want to change leadership. You'd better not write your plans down in Microsoft or in an email or on any digital medium because those in charge are not only spying on the communications of terrorists, they are spying on their own citizens and they have no intention of losing power, even if the opposition is peaceful.

In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.

In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
