If money made one happy there would be no billionaires. For one, having millions would be enough money for you, your children and grandchildren would allow for one to live a life of luxury, travel or pursuit of one's passion. Secondly, a billion dollars would cause anyone who's NOT a sociopath a lot of guilt because they would have to realize that their excessive wealth means an excess of poverty for some many of your fellow Humans. You would eventually come to the same conclusion as Charles "Chuck" Feeney who gave away his 7.5 billion dollars to various worthy charities while still alive.
